Air parameters profiling at Mt. Amiata

Between end-July and mid-September, 2025, the Aurelia team carried out the final co-located measurement campaign in support of CNR IFAC project “”Measuring tropospheric water vapour through the Normalized Differential Spectral Attenuation (NDSA) technique”.
The measurements took place at Mt. Amiata, central Tuscany, reaching an altitude of 1710 m above sea level (about 800 m above ground). Three dedicated sensor packages, developed in-house, were used to provide air parameters measurements all along the aerostat ascensional path, so to correlate the humidity profiles with those estimated by the NDSA instrument.
